Trimetazidine is indicated in adults as add-on therapy for the symptomatic treatment of patients with stable angina pectoris who are inadequately controlled by or intolerant to first-line antianginal therapies
It is used :
- For the symptomatic treatment of patients with stable angina pectoris who are inadequately controlled by or intolerant to first-line antianginal therapies
- Hypersensitivity to the trimetazidine or active substance or to any of the excipients of this medicine
- Parkinson disease, Parkinsonian symptoms, Tremors, Restless leg syndrome, and Other related movement disorders
- Severe renal impairment
- This medicine is not recommended if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby. Ask your doctor for advise before taking this medicine
- This medicine is not recommended if you are breast feeding or planning to breast feed. Ask your doctor for advise before taking this medicine
- The safety and efficacy of this medicine in children aged below 18 years have not been established
- This medicine may cause dizziness and drowsiness. If this happens, do not drive or operate any machines
Please inform your doctor in case you are taking any of the following medicines:
- Heparin, Calciparine, Oral anticoagulants
- Medicinal products used in disturbances of lipid metabolism, Salicylic acid, β-adrenolytic medicinal products
- Calcium channel blocking medicinal products, Digitalis glycosides
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
If you forget to take this medicine:
- If you forget to take one or more doses, do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking this medicine:
- You should discuss with your doctor before you stop taking your medicine
- Dizziness, Headache
- Abdominal pain, Diarrhoea, Dyspepsia, Nausea and Vomiting
- Rash, Pruritus, Urticarial
- Asthenia
- Palpitations, Extrasystoles, Tachycardia
- Arterial Hypotension , Orthostatic hypotension that may be associated with Malaise, Dizziness or fall, in particular in patients taking antihypertensive treatment, Flushing
- Keep out of reach of children
- Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
- Do not take your medicine after the expiry date
