Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking your body's production of certain natural substances that cause inflammation. This effect helps to decrease swelling, pain, or fever.
It is used to reduce:
- Inflammation
- Fever
- Swelling
- Allergic to ibuprofen, or any other ingredients of this medicine
- Have or have ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding including
- Suffer from heart problems
- Have high blood pressure
- Suffer from diabetes,
- Have high cholesterol or a family history of heart disease or stroke,
- Are a smoker
- Asthmatic or suffer from kidney, liver or bowel problems
- Suffering from Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
- Ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, think you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant
- This medicine is not recommended during the last three months of pregnancy
- Ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine if you are breast feeding or planning to breastfeed
- This medicine is not recommended for children under 12 years
Please inform your doctor in case you are taking any of the following medicines:
- Aspirin/Acetylsalicylic acid, Warfarin, Ticlopidine
- Captopril
- Atenolol
- Losartan
- Lithium, Methotrexate, Ciclosporin, Mifepristone, Tacrolimus, Zidovudine, or Quinolone antibiotics
- Take this medicine exactly as the doctor tells you to
- This medicine should be taken with water
- Hypersensitivity reactions with Urticaria andPruritus
- Headache
- Abdominal pain, Abdominal distension, Dyspepsia and Nausea
- Various skin rashes
- Diarrhoea, Flatulence, Constipation and Vomiting
- Aseptic meningitis
- Haematopoietic disorders, Leucopenia, Thrombocytopenia, Pancytopenia, Agranulocytosis
- Aseptic meningitis, such as Stiff neck, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever or Disorientation in patients with auto-immune disorders, Exacerbation of Asthma and Bronchospasm
- Nervousness
- Visual impairment
- Tinnitus and vertigo
- Cardiac failure
- Hypertension
- Asthma, Broncospasm, Dyspnoea and Wheezing
- Peptic ulcer, Perforation or gastrointestinal haemorrhage, Melaena, Haematemesis, Exacerbation of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, Mouth ulceration
- Liver disorders, especially in long-term treatment, Hepatitis and Jaundice
- Severe forms of skin reactions such as bullous reactions, including Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, Erythema multiforme and Toxic epidermal necrolysis can occur
- Acute renal failure, Papillary necrosis, Increased serum urea and oedema. Haematuria, Tubulointerstitial nephritis, Nephritic syndrome, Proteinuria
- Oedema, Peripheral oedema
- Decreased hematocrit and hemoglobin levels
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
- Do not store above 25°C
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children
